Spending the first year of college without a car was horrible. Every time I had to go somewhere, I had to ask someone to drop me. Not to mention all the late nights I spent at the library and at friend's places to get through with exams and coursework. Doing anything without your personal car is a challenge.
Finally, after first year I decided enough was enough and I had to get a car. I settled for the Jeep Compass and I must say I have had a wonderful back to college experience with it. Everyone just looks at it with awe and I no longer have to ask others for a ride. I can travel around as I please. Although I haven't taken it out on long distances up till now I still feel it gives me great handling. The drive is smooth and the gas mileage is perfect. There is ample space in the back to fit in my friends or most of the time it is cramped with my college books. The seats are also comfortable to sit; the steering isn't too hard to hold, and the dashboard is quite sophisticated with everything within easy access.
Anyone who asks me I would definitely recommend them to get this car as it was also quite affordable. Although I bought a used one, it is still great. I had to search for it a bit, and you will have to make the effort too but in the end, it is all pays off. I often take my jeep to friends parties and it just feels amazing as all heads turn to gawk at it. I just love it and I hope it will stay with me for a long time or until college finishes.
